I have an X case too and every time I find myself questioning going from a plus size to the X I pull out the case and ask myself what am I doing! LOL the more I think about it and the more I hold the case for the X, I realize I really don’t think I have to have such a huge phone and I’m going to like the smaller size.

Very small. I think a lot of Plus owners are going to be disappointed. Was surprised at how much smaller it actually is.

One of the big selling points for me was the dual cameras on the X... that was one of my main reasons of me keeping the Plus model, despite its other size benefits. I’m hoping it’s truly best of both worlds.

I don't mind the size adjustment. It's not 2014-2015 anymore with the screen size/dimension complaints.

I train myself to use 4", 4.5", 4.7", 5", 5.3", and 5.7" all concurrently. I don't favor any of them although my sweet spot in dimensions is where X is at.

Bigger/wider is better for typing and viewing content, 4.7 - 5" is the middle ground, and under 4.7" is the best for one-handed usage. X marks the sweet spot.

Yesterday I received my case for the iPhone X and I placed it side by side next to my iPhone 7 Plus and wow, what a huge difference.

Has anyone else wondered or given thought to the adjustment in size?

Would you say you wished the X was as large as the plus?

Thought? Concerns?

Physical, overall size, is not a "biggie" for me.

Screen sizes:
iPhone X = 5.80
iPhone (any model) Plus = 5.50
Difference .3 inches

Physical size difference not a deal breaker (for me) either.

However I do understand why the size difference may matter to others. If you have concerns about the size you could wait and see what develops later.

X's main selling points for me -

1. Gesture contol like webOS
2. Reasonable dimensions
3. Named iPhone X so I can pronounce it as EX
4. New design in three years and first change ever for the front

The X is about the same size or smaller than the LG G3 to G6, Samsung Galaxy S5 to S8, Sony Xperia X or Z that isn't a Compact, and 5" Google Pixel 1 & 2. It has a 5.8" display with dimensions usually on phones offering only 5-5.2".

The Note8, LG V30, Pixel 2 XL all look better than the iPhone X but too tall for me. Size plays a huge factor for me here. Not even paying attention to the OLED, Face ID, and notch. I don't want to do hand gymnastics with a surfboard phone stretching my thumb to the top.

Right, and if you'd have read my quote, Mlrollin91 said the following:

My reply was directly to his comment about magnets being next to the phone.

oh gotcha....thought you meant about the wireless charging.

ya them and there 5.8 biggest screen yet. I understand from a marketing point of view but how dare they. i thought it was going to be the same size as plus just smaller body. But the notch and it being skinner has just made this depressing. Of course i am still going to get it, but its only for 11 months.

How much do you guys think the IPX+ is going to be? another $100 on top of $1'149.00

Actually I like the size of the iPhone X. I’m more interested in the size of the screen then in the overall size of the iPhone. I’m looking for an iPhone with the screen the size of an iPad Mini with the overall footprint of an iPhone 4.

Now, of course, that’s physically not going to happen, but it’s my wish. So the iPhone X is the next best thing.

I have the 5s, so getting the x is going to be huge to me, almost worried I won't like the size.

I also initially thought the 4" screen was dumb when I had a 3.5" 4s as well
