Griffin got back to me just now:
The Griffin website makes no mention of compatability with the 3G iPhone, and the customer services response to asking about this said that they will not get a copy of the 3G iPhone until July 11 when it becomes available. Until that time, they can't provide any compatibility information.

For anyone thinking of getting peripherals - unless your carrier shop or Apple shop has updated stock on Friday, that is specifically compatible with the 3G iPhone, this might be an issue.

E.g.
- The iTrip AutoPilot
- The RoadTrip with SmartScan

They won't necessarily not be compatible, but we'll have to wait and see...

If anyone knows of peripherals for the car - in car mount/dock/radio system like the iTrip/Roadtrip, and know they are sold as 3G iPhone compatible, please shout them out!
