iPadOS 16 is a boring update for iPads. iPadOS 17 is the better usable one ( iMessage security (PQ3), widgets on the lock screen in horizontal and vertical modes etc)
Maybe, but that’s not what I asked. Features are utterly irrelevant to me. I want performance and battery life. I wonder how iPadOS 16 was in terms of performance and battery life vs iOS 12, and whether 17 or 18 further worsened it vs 16 or not.

Now, how was iPadOS 18 vs iPadOS 16? What if you had kept it on 16? Would RAM availability be better? How about performance? How about battery life? Is it poor on 26?
It used to close safari tabs and reload apps even on the original iOS so it was a default problem both with the iPad and the iPhone 11 Pro. However everything else would remain smooth. With iOS 26, a whole lot of stutter and frame dropping was introduced. Crippling the experience.

I don't have a Dev account, but I finally put my M4 11" IPP on the charger for the first time in about two months . . . just laughing to myself how wasted this {rather-expensive} purchase was on my life....
