Compatible Media Player

Hi guys,

Was just wondering if anyone can help me? I have a MBP and used to use a media player with my old laptop however it doesn't seem to get on very well with my MBP and won't work. Can anyone recommend a good Media Player that will work?

Specifically, which type of media files are you having difficulties with?

A media player that will work with my MBP, so that I can transfer my photo's & songs from MBP to the media player so that I can play them through my tv.
The one I was using that doesn't work is a Clyclone.

Apple TV can stream from your MBP to your TV. No need to transfer files with this solution.

Edit: check tech specs for supported media formats.
