Compatible webcams with my PowerBook G4?

I have a PowerBook G4 and I wanted to get a webcam for it. I tried getting an iSight but Apple seems to have discontinued them, so im out of luck there.

I tried 2 logitech cams, and none work. I cant remember the first one I tried, but the second one was a Logitech Quickcam Pro for Notebooks. This is the new edition one (1.3MP and USB 2.0)


I am scared of having to keep buying cams to try them out just to find out they dont work.

My question is, what is a good quality camera for the PowerBook G4 laptops? If something that is natively supported in OS X even better so I dont have to mess wtih drivers and such.

Please let me know, and if possible a range of what I should be looking to spend or where to buy them. 🙂

Macam makes one. I think it's called the Ice Cam or something. I used to own it, but my MB has a built-in iSight.

I thought any DV cam that has firewire interface can be set up to be used as a webcam
