One thing that i just found in iOS 5 is that in the new Music app, sorting is done by album artist not just artist. Finally this app is useable again.

Before my artist list was clogged with hundreds of artists that appeared once on a compilation. This was the most frustrating feature of previous iOS. This change brings it back in line with the old iPod classic sorting.

(compilations tagged with actual artist name in "artist" field, compilation compiler as "album artist", with "part of a compilation" checked).

Yeah but now when you search by artist on your iPod/iPhone, songs from compilations are not listed. You now have to search by compilation, which is ridiculous. I have close to 10000 songs, 1000 albums, and roughly 175 compilations. So if I want to hear a particular song by an artist from a track on a compilation, it requires a lot more searching, while I used to be able to go right to the artist name and every album or compilation would be listed right away. I absolutely despise this change.
