I've been looking at all these cases, but can't seem to find the one I want.

Basically, I'll be carrying my iPhone around "naked" in my pocket 99% of the time. But, I want something to protect it when I go on holiday etc. so it can be thrown into a bag/protected from sand etc. Of course I'll look after it like it's a precious stone, but I do want some added protection - for peace of mind if nothing else.

Basically, I want a case - ideally a hard case - that will protect the WHOLE of the iPhone, inc. the screen (too many of these leave the screen open), but still leaving access for the volume buttons and headphone jack. The case should also have a belt-clip on the back, that doubles as a viewing stand (for watching movies on the plane etc. Ideally, you'd remove the front part of the case for watching movies, but I guess if it's a clear case then it's not a problem to keep it in the case for movie-watching (with the case acting as the stand).

So many are almost perfect - but I've not seen one yet with the above features, that also protects the screen.

Can anyone recommend me a case that will have these features?

I work outdoors in extremely rugged situations. If I ever want to take my iPhone with me, I too need a rigid, hard case that also keeps out dust, sand, etc. Cant seem to find one. I might have to look for an old glasses case or cigar box and line it with a sponge myself!

I got the Case-Mate Signature because it is similar to my iPod case from Vaja. I don't like the half-shell ivolution case for the iPhone that Vaja is currently selling, although I hope they come out with more options later. My initial impressions of the Case-Mate are that is a decent case. One issue that someone raised was the edge of the case interfering with typing P and Q, but I'm happy to say that is not a problem for me. My fingers do touch the edge when typing these letters, but they don't intrude or make it difficult. The screw/clip add on doesn't seem rugged enough for me so I'm using a belt holster for the whole phone plus case. I'm a bit paranoid for a free swinging exposed face of the phone to be clipped by plastic on my belt.

Oh and I probably won't use the screen cover as the optical glass is very scratch resistant as is.

For now, I'm happy although I may still eye the iSkin Revo, too.:)

Im still waiting for the right case to get. Im torn between the sena or the vaja case. Anyone with a preference on those two. For anyone else that doesnt have a case yet, ive been using an Oakley sunglass bag for my phone. It protects the phone and you can use it to clean the glass.

Vaja for me

I went through four cases, from Speck Skin (phone falls out), iCase (phone slips out), CaseMate (belt clip breaks off) Mobi (ratchet clip too loose) and now waiting for the Vaja ivolution. My significant other ordered the Sena because she wanted a flip over cover and won't use a belt clip. I thought the SEna was nice, but too thick with the cover. I have had Vaja cases for all my prior PDAs and their stuff is top quality with belt clips that don't come off and don't detach. I am curious to see how their new rivet clip works, but it appears to be the next evolution of strong and flexible clips. Good luck.

iPhone covers...

I skimmed thru these postings, but didn't find any reference to iSkin.
They make an awesome silicone rubber skin that really fits. It comes
in a variety of colour trims and also includes a protective visor and
privacy screen (press on film thingy). So far it has worked great for
me, maybe some of you folks might like to check it out. www.iskin.com

Great list. I would never buy from iQase (http://www.iqase.com/) though because they fail to have any imagination with their site design. It looks so very familiar!

so you would rather buy a bad product from a great looking website than a great product from a bad looking website? ... and not that its really bad, just not interesting? .... wow...

Yes, the iQase site is a bit of a letdown, but the cases look OK and may well be worth a look.

Fortte Phone case

Fortte is great.
I have purchased a few cases from them, as I get new phones. I recently orderred a custom leather case/holster from Fortte. It was a special order, made large enough to hold my phone in an Incipio DualPro hardshell case. I orderred patent leather black, not knowing that patent leather is very very shiny. I was very disappointed when I got it. Even though Fortte has a no return policy on custom cases, they were very understanding of my problem, and replaced my case with a plain black case, at no cost to me. Their customer service and high quality cases will keep me buying Fortte products.

Wow did you just really revive a 6 year old thread?
