Hi forum users, I'm looking for a source to fix my beloved mid 2010 macbook pro.

The macbook no longer charges up, or powers up on the charger.
It does power up fine once i charge the battery in another machine and put in my macbook pro.

changed dc inboard, charger, now looking deeper on the board i can see some corrosion around the first fuse/chip other side of the dc inboard connector so guessing this is the real problem.

So need to get some one who does supply and repairs macbook pro logic boards at component level.

Does any body know of a source for parts, or a person competent and capable.

You could just try rubbing off the corosion with some 99% methylated spirit (rubbing alchohol).

Ifixit has good guides on most mac repairs, and they sell parts to some degree.

Thanks Samuelsan2001 ill certainly give that a try first. It could well be a bad chip..

Digikey supply a lot of the components that are used in electronics... the problem may be finding exactly what you need or the exact part.

Mouser has a some parts to MacBooks, some discontinued parts you can find in Aliexpress, but 2010 it's quite old model and can be a problem with repair, also maybe they still have some "donor" boards

Have a look at:
