Over there------->
Hi everyone! If any photographers here are interested in landscape photography and will be in southern California next Tuesday (October 17)...I'll be giving a free talk at the Canon Experience Center. Registration is free through the Canon website: EVENT LINK.

This is an unconventional talk about composition, not the usual rehash of rules or anything like that. If you want to get a taste for what to expect, this podcast interview is now live and covers some of my points: PODCAST LINK.

Again, the talk is free, and I'll be happy to meet and greet after it ends (it will probably be done about 8:30pm). I think a group of us will be heading out to grab a drink afterwards. Right now there are about 80 people registered, and the room can hold more, so I hope that you can join us!

And if you're not in the area of southern California, then I hope that you enjoy the podcast! If you listen to it and would like to ask any questions about it, feel free to post them here, and I'll do my best to answer.

Cheers!

I wish I could attend but unfortunately - I'm the other side of the Atlantic! I will be attending a presentation by Colin Prior in November though, who was largely responsible for getting me into landscape photography in my early teens. If you ever do a presentation in Scotland, I'd definitely attend. I'm sure a few other Scottish based MR members would too :) I'll give the podcast a listen in the meantime. Good luck with the presentation, although I doubt you'll need it given you do this sort of stuff for a living and will be used to it :)

You can't come on here plugging your talks without sharing one of those beautiful shots of yours! You've been missed!
Again a few miles commute for me but I'll give your podcast a listen later.

That is actually very possible. I have some tentative plans to do a workshop in the UK in 2018, and I'll be spending about a week in Scotland afterwards. I did give a talk in England last November, but that was on a different topic. The whole thing is on YouTube courtesy of OnLandscape magazine, if you want to have a gander: VIDEO LINK

At any rate, thanks for your interest, Mark! :)

Haha, you're sweet! :) OK, here's a new photo from me, the last one that I released! :)
