If anyone has used iDefrag on the mac, you know that it perfectly compacts all the data on the drive into one absolutely solid block with not even 1 bit of a gap between anything. I can't seem to get any windows defragmenter to do this. Regardless of the necessity, does anyone know of a defrag tool for windows that will do this?

My Windows defrag app of choice is Auslogics Disk Defrag

www.auslogics.com

Totally free and does a bang up job of defragmenting the disc. If you choose Defrag+Optimise it will also re-structure the files as you describe, all in one contiguous block at the start of the disc.
