Hi Forum,

I am on vacation and have downloaded lots of pictures on my in-laws macbook. I want to upload these pictures into my idisk via mobile me. I figured the process out as it is very direct, however I get a message on the screen stating that it would be best to compress my files first to save time and space?

How do I do this?

Will it mess up the original files that are on my in-laws computer?

Thanks,

CFS

How to compress files is to select all the files you want to compress in the Finder.

Then right click (control click if you don't have a two button mouse).

Select Compress whatever

This will take some time.

You can then upload the resulting file. To decompress the file just double click on it.

In all honesty, you probably don't need to compress the files.

Thanks for responding with the information. As my file size is less than 1gb I will take your advice and not compress.
