Compter crashed and iPhone apps not showing in iTunes

So my hard drive crashed.......hard....on my iMac. I have some apps that I purchased from iTunes store. After taking care of the hard drive and reinstalling when i plug in my iPhone no apps show up on the Application tab.

I would have expected that the apps would show up after I did a sync but they do not.

I did "Check for Authorized Purchases" and it says all are done.

I would feel better if the apps that I bought were visible in iTunes so that I know if my iPhone needs a restore I wont lose my apps.

Any ideas?

Download the apps again, iTunes should give you a message that you have already bought the app and that you can re-download it for free. Try that with a free app first to see that it does.
