Hello guys, I've read from somewhere that it is highly recommended to charge our iPhones using plug-in charger/car charger.

What are the drawbacks of using a computer to charge our iPhone?

Correct me if I'm wrong, thanks a lot!

I'm not totally sure, but I think it has something to do with just how much power the USB port can provide.

When I charge it from the computer, it seems to charge slower, and it also seems to hold a lower full charge and therefore drain slightly faster.

But I could be completely wrong :D

The wall plug charger that comes with the iPhone can charge the device at 1 full Amp.

The USB plug on your computer can only deliver half an Amp (500 mA).

If the battery is low, 500 mA will be really slow. If the battery is very dead, it may not even be enough to start charging.
