I have a Mac Pro (2009) with a new Red 3TB NAS Desktop Hard Drive, SATA III w/ 64MB Cache.
This new drive has been crashing 2-3 times per week lately. In doing so, the computer screen will suddenly
freeze and then the computer will reboot. I've tested the HDD drive with Disk Warrior which reports that there is no problem or issue with this drive. During the crash, I'm just online and working with text or music files, several windows may be open at once during the crash.

The crash report data appears below. Thanks to anyone who knows how to analyze this data in order to hopefully solve the problem and to stop the sudden, frequent computer crashes.

my 2008 was shutting down randomly a while back.... I took it apart and blew the heck out of it with Comp Air and lots of dust in Power Supply and on boards etc..... worked great ever sense... my current issues is a dead lower front fan but the shut down/reboot problem a few years back was solved with a good old fashion cleaning.

Wish you luck... if my 2008 dies... not sure where to go - not a fan of the new MacTube.

I'm curious as to why you think the drive is crashing and causing this. A drive going down shouldn't cause a kernel panic, especially if that drive isn't your system drive.

Uninstall Soundflower.

1) I did a search on your problem and the first hit here shows someone else with the same error. The only non-Apple KEXT you two have in common is "Soundflower 1.6.6". It also makes sense that the sound card hardware could cause interrupt problems; this is explained in that linked thread.

2) When I tried to investigate Soundflower, my company's firewall prevented me from going to the website. They usually only block crapware or malware-infected websites, but admittedly it could be blocked by mistake.

The last time my hard drive (in Bay 1 of four HDD drives in a 2009 Mac Pro) crashed the other day, I received the above posted kernel panic report that was associated with the crash from Apple. I submitted the panic report to Apple as well as posting it in this forum thread. My understanding is that these Apple reports are anonymous and that Apple won't actually contact me about any possible cause/s of the hard drive crash.

I found the soundflower information in my computer (see the screenshot with this posting).
