Hi guys, I bought my Retina MacBook Pro late 2013 15" last year when it came installed with Mavericks, and I've had this problem since then, even when running Yosemite, I've tried clean install several times but it doesn't fix the problem. When my mac goes to sleep and i press a button on the keyboard my screen rarely turns back on, but my keyboard lights up.

I've found a crap solution, which is to hit esc so the keyboard turns on, then hit escape again so it turns back off, then hit esc once more, when the keyboard turns on this second time usually the screen turns on again too. But sometimes this doesn't happen and i have to hold the power button down and do a hard restart. I've noticed sometimes when it doesn't turn on again and I keep hitting escape to turn the keyboard off again I get a sound notification, like a error knock if you know what i mean. When this happens I have to hard restart almost every single time.

I was hoping Yosemite would fix it but it hasn't, I've checked at firmware versions but i should be running the latest and everything updated, does anyone have a solution for this?

SMC reset.

(Do it a few times if it doesn't work right away.)

If that doesn't work, call AppleCare or bring it to a local Apple Store or ASP.
