Computer Stops Charging

I got my computer yesterday, it's a iBook G4 OS X 10.5.8.

The charger worked fine until around six o' clock. Then it wouldn't charge. We switched the power pack and it worked for an hour or so, and then the same thing. What can I do? I CANNOT take it to be fixed.
