Computer unable to access google servers.

Hi - having a really strange problem- I cant google. 😱 Not nice. I can get to any other web page, and my iphone on the same wifi network can access it fine. I have tried pinging googles IP from terminal.app with no luck.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Can you access Google in a different browser? Clear the browser cache? Reset Safari? What browser are you using to begin with?

Thanks for your speedy reply, yeah i've tried to clear the cache. I'm in firefox at the moment, and safari does not work either.😕

Also can't get to yahoo, just noticed that today. Im with TPG, if thats any help. I think it might be a DNS issue but am unsure how to confirm or resolve this....

PEER GUARDIAN strikes again.

No, my iphone is fine.
AH- I'm such an idiot- I changed my startup list the other day and accidentally cut a peer guardian service without removing the whole program.
Appdelete and a restart and im back googling.
