Alright heres a quick run down of what my problem is.
I jailbroke my iPod but don't want it anymore because its been slowing down my touch and I don't use the custom stuff.
Anyways I go as said to set your iPod into DFU mode:

(I jailbroke my iPod with spirit btw)

I when the last chime comes my iPod dissappears from iTunes and the computer, and the iPod freezes which I fix by holding down the power and home button for idk 30secs.

But I can't restore my iPod since it dissappears off the computer.

What I use:
Computer:Windows XP - Professional - Version 2002 -Service Pack 3
iPod:3.1.3 Formatted to Windows

If someone could help me get the iPod to restore into its original mode and let the computer reconize it I will be very thankful.

Thanks,
mental

I do not think you are putting your iPod in DFU mode correctly because in the video it doesn't show that iTunes is reading the iPod as it being in DFU mode. Though not sure. But what you are supposed to do is plugin your iPod and iTunes should recognize it. Then hold the Home and Power button for about 10 seconds. Then wait 2 seconds after the screen goes black and then keep holding the home button for about 10 seconds and then iTunes should read it. And you're iPod screen should be black. After that restore it. Maybe this video might help?
