Computer won't sleep

Hi my monitor turns off but my computer won't go into sleep mode, both are set to turn off at exactly 45 minutes of inactivity. Please help

Have you tried disconnecting peripherals and/or PCI cards to see if this changes anything?

i had to turn off the password after wake, then it worked like a charm!!

I had a similar problem. Computer would never sleep. Monitor would sleep but sometimes wake on its own.

Turns out it was the screensaver. I set screensaver to never and sleep works perfectly. Now the monitor stays in sleep too.
