Computer Wont Stop Restarting HELP

About twice a day my computer freezes and this message pops up "You need to restart you computer. Hold down the power button for several seconds or press the restart button" this has been happening for 2 weeks now at least twice a day. I'm not sure if this is the appropriate section but is their anything i can do to stop this instead of taking it in to a mac guy and having them fix it?

It's having kernal panics. Reinstall OS and if that doesn't fix it then it's hardware related and will have to be brought in for repairs.
