An OLED bar gimmick doesn't seem very helpful when the MBP is ages behind in CPU and GPU performance. I understand in the post PC world that machines like the MBP take on a different role, but they are still excellent development platform machines. Apple, please provide: (1) current CPU choices, skylake if today and kaby lake if in Q3, (2) SDXC slot for added storage - local storage is still important for development, (3) more competitive pricing - it gets more difficult over time to justify MBP hardware pricing as the rest of the market gets better, cheaper, faster, and (4) don't even think about going to a single USB-C port - many of us use wired networks in the office and external monitors, limiting ports sux. Of course lighter and better battery life are nice, but current battery life is livable as is the current heft and I would gladly trade improvements in these areas with improvements listed above.
Obvious outrages in a few more recent posts.
I still use my MacBook Air 11 " and I am happy with it.
I will not accept a laptop with zero USB-A port, as this will break ALL HDD I have right now.
God damn, why they just want to break those which works perfectly fine, especially the old one is not anywhere worse than newer one! Just for innovation and s**t moving forward, we need to sacrifice decades of accumulation and start anew?!
I don't get it and never will.
There is probably a gesture to bring up the original function keys, along with a gesture for media keys.But... Where's the escape button?
If I'm developing, I don't want to do a gesture to bring the escape key... Can't believe it will not have a esc key..
I'm a Web developer and I use all sorts of gestures, macros, and custom shortcuts to boost my productivity. That said, the ESC key is one of the keys that I've tried to remap before and it messes me up badly every time I think I can wean myself off of it.
I will make escape gesture the middle finger if this is the case.If I'm developing, I don't want to do a gesture to bring the escape key... Can't believe it will not have a esc key..

Oh, man, I didn't even notice the missing escape key.... Goodbye to Mac as the default platform for web developers when you can't use vim on its keyboard any more!
What has, in your opinion, been suppressed since 2012, and what are the smokescreens of innovations you're referring to?Please, give us back what you have suppressed since the 2012 version of MBP and leave these stupids "innovations" for MS-Windows ! I can't believe there exist people happy with these smokescreens !
Why ? Tell us what makes you so enthousiastic with this unimportant gadget ! I feel Apple relies on gadgets to hide their incapacity to maintain and develop a proper MBP, that's the reality...Love it!!!

That's kind of what I was looking for, examples of what those huge amount of features were...for example and the huge amount of features that made the MBP

Save as... for example and the huge amount of features that made the MBP, an exceptional machine. Also, to work on small screens is something I never will be satisfied with. But this is only my opinion, apparently shared by many users here...
