hi there,

I could not find an answer to this query elsewhere on the forum. Apologies if it has been asked before.

I want to print wirelessly at home. My kit is:
Macbook running 10.4.11
Airport Express
Canon IP1000 printer
Wireless through a router ( supplied by Sky in UK)

I have connected by printer to the airport express. The light is green. I was able to play music wirelessly (Air Tunes) when the express was connected to my CD player, so the airport express is connected to my network ( i think).

I tried to add the printer address as that of my express (168.1.0.5) but this is not working.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for all the help🙂

For some reason my Airport Express is called Air Tunes on the AIRPORT ADMIN UTILITY. Does that matter?

No takers?

The printer should show up in Bonjour. Is it showing up in Airport Utility as being connected? If your airport is connected to the router via ethernet, you would also need to check the "Share printers over the internet using Bonjour" checkbox.
