Confirmation receipt in MAIL

I tried to send an email with confirmation receipt from MAIL with no results.
Is that possible or there is no way to have this option on Mail sending an email from your Mac?

I assume that when you say confirmation receipt you really mean a read receipt?

If so the user who reads your email can refuse to send the receipt. Most people do (I know I do).
