Hello,

I ran disk utility to repair my external drive with my library on it, and it "repaired it". However now i have a folder of damaged files, with a bunch of aliases in it (66), and another folder called "recycled" with folders in it with names like "Di646", and songs in there somewhere....?

how do i consolidate the folder?

thanks,
r.

Why not just toss the folder altogether and put the songs back on through iTunes. If not use the Find feature in the folder and have it sift out the song files (hint: Search by kind).

Bizarre. Do you have the regular iTunes Music Folder too? Are both of these folders quite small (select them and hold COMMAND-I)? If so, then I'd probably trash both of these other folders. However, rather than trashing them completely, I'd drag them to the Trash without Emptying. Then, I'd reopen iTunes and play around with it for a while to make sure it's all working well. If it is, then I'd Empty The Trash.
