iPod touch Connect ipod touch via wired network

Where I go on vacation has wireless access in the hotel lobby BUT only provides wired access in the rooms. So to use my itouch I must walk to the lobby. Does anyone know of a way to connent an itouch to a wired network for internet access ? One would think someone must have created an adapter of of some sort.

Only realistic way is to have an Macbook and set up internet sharing.

Apple sells one: the AirPort Express. (They specifically sell it as "small enough to take on the road".) Of course, it costs $100....
