Hello.

I have an LG Ultrafine 27MD5KA which I am trying to connect my Xbox Series X to but it does not have an HDMI port. I've purchased an HDMI to thunderbolt 3 adapter and it didn't help.

I've tried numerous adapter converters and I can't seem to find anything that would work. I've searched online for help and it seems like there isn't much on this topic. Thanks!

There is no such adapter unfortunately. You probably have a HDMI to USB-C adapter which is quite different — and totally incompatible with the 27MD5KA.

You need to use a HDMI 2.0 to DisplayPort 1.2 adapter and run a DisplayPort cable from that into a Thunderbolt 3 PCIe add-in card such as the Gigabyte GC-ALPINE RIDGE or GC-TITAN RIDGE to encapsulate the DisplayPort signal into a Thunderbolt 3 stream.

The 27MD5KA requires video input via Thunderbolt 3. That’s the only way.

I have an LG Ultrafine 24MD4KL. And I want to connect to my windows computer. Does the HDMI to USB-C adapter can help me?

Thank you, Ame, that made perfect sense. And I am not sure if the adapter will work. By the way, the adapter link is here(https://www.amazon.com/Club-3D-Monitor-Converter-CAC-1334/dp/B09JP43FRC), could you please help me to determine if it is useful for me
thank u very match
I don't have the monitor or adapter so can't speak from experience. However, this adapter does not include a USB connection (from the computer to the monitor) so you won't be able to use the monitor's built-in speakers or USB ports or control its brightness when it's hooked up using this adapter.

If your Windows PC's GPU has a (Mini-) DisplayPort output, the Wacom Link Plus is also a (more expensive) option since it includes a USB 2.0 connection to enable these features. (Don't use the Wacom's HDMI input: it's v1.4 and only good for 30 Hz refresh at "4K").
