Hi, not 100% sure if this is the correct forum to post this. My apologies in advance if it isn't.

I would like to run my MBP through my Ipod dock that doesn't have a line in connection only the possibility to dock an Ipod.

Do any cables or adapters exist out there which give me the possibility to connect the 3.5mm head phone jack to the ipod connector on my dock? Or in any other way could connect my MBP to the dock (wireless would be ideal! if one can dream)?

All help appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

A

I'm sorry but I think that you need to elaborate here a little, because I;m not really that sure what you are talking about...

The problem I have is that the ipod sound dock i have (scandyna "the dock" http://www.podspeakers.com/Products/The_dock.aspx) doesn't have a line in where you can connect other devices, the only connection it has for input is an 30 pin Ipod connector.

But what I would like to know is if there is some kind of device that gives you the possibility to use the ipod connector on the dock with other devices than an ipod (in my case my MBP) to get more use of the dock.

What I imagine could work is a cable that has a 3.5mm "head phone" connector at one end (that plugs into my MBP) and at the other end a 30 pin ipod (female) connector at the other end (that plugs to the ipod dock). Don't know if such cables exist, or even if it would work.

So what I would like to know is if something like this exists or if there is any other way to get around this.

Edit: Think I might have found a couple of solutions to this: http://www.iskin.com/ceruleantx/macpc.tpl?cart=11990454838956177
or this one is cheaper: http://www.anycom.com/products/blue...lack/?id=102&partno=CC3318&tab=technical_data
Or just getting one of these and instead of using it to dock a Shuffle use it to connect to my computer with a cable: http://shop.ipodworld.co.uk/iPodWor...Griffin_Dock_Adaptor_for_new_iPod_shuffle.htm
