Connect one mac to another though internet

Hi,

I'm just trying to be able to access my mac mini, which has two external drives attached, from a friend's house with my 12" Powerbook.

What's the best way to do this. I tried VPN in internet connect but I couldn't find the right settings.

I've also turned on Remote Log-In, Apple Remote Desktop, and Remote Apple Events.
How do I then access the computer?

Also, is there any way to wake the mini if it's asleep? I tried Wake 550 but I guess it doesnt work well with Intel macs?

Keywords: FTP and VNC.
Get your home IP, turn on remote access (which you have) and access your computer using your login/pass to your Mac account. This is the very expedited way of doing this. Google is your friend:
