Connect to PC

Hello All,

I need some assistance.

I am trying to connect my iMac to a windows pc

i have done it to my other pc but trying to do it on laptop but i can't seem to remember

anyone have any ideas.

That's a little ambiguous, but if you mean file sharing you need to enable sharing on the drive or folder on the Windows computer. Then point the Mac to smb://x.x.x.x/ where x.x.x.x is the ip address of the windows machine. Specify your windows credentials on the mac side and it should start sharing.

i did that and it worked first time, had to turn firewall off for it to connect, when i turned fw back on it stopped working.

Anyone know how i go about this, as it works fine for my pc not but the laptop
