I have a 14" MBP M1 and will soon have the MacBook Air M2.

Can I connect both of these to a single LG Ultrafine 5K (27MD5KL-B) and switch between the two? I don't need to have both MacBooks connected at the same time, just be able to switch between them without physically swapping the cables. If so, can you please let me know how to do it (somewhat new to Macs) :)

There's no way to do this on the Apple Studio Display, so I'm looking at the LG as Plan b.

I'm assuming it won't be a problem to share the (bluetooth) keyboard/mouse between the two MacBooks?

You would be able to buy a switch for it, but there is no way to do this on the actual display from what I can see.

As for the mouse and keyboard? It’s quiet easy to switch between devices as long as you use the trackpads to connect the mouse, they won’t automatically connect to whichever machine is active in my experience

Thanks! Switch works, any suggestions?

I have a bluetooth mouse/keyboard that can connect to 3 different sources (not at the same time) :) , just need to switch between the inputs.
