So I have a Mac Studio already connected to my Apple Studio Display, I need to get a PC and was wondering if I can connect it to the Apple Studio Display at the same time so as not to get another monitor, and somehow switch between the two with a switch or something when needed. I'm not fussed about audio from the PC at all. Is it possible to do that? If anyone has done this, any recommendations on what kind of a PC/cables etc to get and how to go about it?

Thanks.

I think you can do this with a Thunderbolt KVM - Sabrent makes one for $299 (cheaper than a second monitor), there are probably others. It would have to be Thunderbolt, not USB-C, to get 5k output.

KVM is one option but I have a similar setup with a Mac mini and occasionally I switch over to my MacBook Pro.

I bought a short Thunderbolt extension cable (male to female) and leave that plugged into the mini; the other end is at a convenient spot to put my laptop. So I just physically swap the cable from the display between the laptop and the extension cable.
