I have just purchased a new 15 mac book pro, but i cant work out how to connect it to my sharp monitor dvi connection.

I have a Apple Mini DisplayPort to DVI Converter but there is nowhere to fit that on the macbook, so what connection cable do i need?

my mistake i have not got a mini display port to DVI cable!!!!

It goes in the mini-display port on the left side of the MBP. It is labeled with the Thunderbolt, as it is now the Thunderbolt and display port in one connector. It is the fourth one in from the back, between the USB port and the IEEE1394b (firewire port).


Note: I may have screwed up those exact port number designators.

The port is on the left side between the FW800 and USB ports.
