connecting a vcr to an eMac

I have an eMac 10.3.9 and want to transfer my VCR collection to the hard drive, so I can burn them to iDVD. How do I do this? OR is there a better way to achieve the same result?

No, you'll need a way to convert the signal. Check out different tools for watching TV on your Mac. Then you can just use the VCR as your input source.

No it's not, you need a signal converter (from analogic to digital).

Check a camcorder with FW port to see if you can use that as a converter.
