I was wondering how would i go about connecting my new macbook to my tv. The only connections my tv has is the regular RCA plugs and s-video. How would i go from mini display port to rca? I was thinking mini display to vga then vga to composite video?

Well, first you need the Mini-Display to DVI-I adapter found in Apple's Store. Then you need the DVI to S-Video adapter found also in the Apple Store.

All these adapters are in the Online Apple Store and are priced at $29 and $19 respectively.

DVI-I to S-Video - Click Me

Hope it helps

That will not work. The DVI adapter you linked to drops analogue signals.

You need to get the MiniDisplay Port to > VGA adapter
http://store.apple.com/us/product/M8639G/A

And connect it to a VGA to RCA / S-Video adapter
http://www.amazon.com/EFORCITY-VGA-S-Video-RCA-Adaptor/dp/B000P3UB24

When connected you will need to set your secondary display (or both) to 640x480

Is there not an adapter to go from Minidisplay port to RCA like there was for the previous macbook? I used that pretty much everyday and will be very upset if I have to buy two new adapters and carry two adapters around just to use my macbook with a tv.
