Is it possible to connect my Nokia 6070 (with infrared, but not Bluetooth) to my MBP via the infrared thing on the front?

It appears the phone is certainly too primitive to connect via Bluetooth, and by OS X, so I have to boot into Windows XP.

But it says it doesn't detect an infrared signal.

Does this work under Bootcamp, and if not, is there a way of getting it working so my PC and phone can talk to each other?

No. The MBP infra-red sensor is not an IRDa port. It cannot be used for any form of data transmission, or in fact, with anything other than an Apple Remote.

Actually, I used to use my old Sony phone W-810 with my Macbook and used to use as a mouse.

Now, I am trying to use my Nokia N-95 and I cannot figure out why not.
