Hi,

Sorry if this question has been asked ad infinitum, but I've had some trouble finding a direct answer on the forums. I'm planning to purchase the new Mac Pro when it becomes available, but I currently have a Late-2008 24" Cinema Display (1920x1200) with a Mini DisplayPort.

I'm wondering what adapter would I need to connect this display to the Mac Pro port (Thunderbolt, HDMI)? I haven't used TB before, but I'm assuming it would be a MiniDP-to-TB adapter. However, when searched for one I was suprised to find nothing in Apple's store like that.

Could someone please tell me what I should be looking for, or if I need a different kind of adapter altogether?

Thanks in advance,
ACV

You don't need any adapter. Cinema Displays with Mini Display Port can plug into the Thunderbolt Ports as they are the same size and backwards compatible.

Oh wow! I had no idea... Talk about over-complicating things for myself!

That's great news! Thanks for the help, guys!
