Okay, I know it's possible, but last night I couldn't get it to work. Here is what I did.

-Turned both computers on.
-Connected Firewire cable to both computers
-Restarted the computer I wanted to run as a FW HardDrive while holding down "T".

The conputer did start up in FireWire HD mode alright, however it wouldn't show up on the other computer. (it is supposed to show up on the desktop as another hard drive right?). Is there a step I missed? Do I need a special FireWire cable? New computer is OS 10.3 and the other computer is OS 10.2.

Thanks.

I assume you are trying to mount the 10.2 drive on the 10.3 machine.

The only thing I noticed is that you turned both of them on first. I would try this

Shut down both machines
Turn on 10.3 machine
Connect FW cable to both
Turn on 10.2 machine holding down "t" until you see the firewire icon

The 10.2 hard drive should then be mounted on the 10.3 machine.
