Hi,

I have recently bought an iMac (Intel Core 2 Duo) and would like to connect it to my stereo (Sony digital audio/video control centre STR-K785 which is set up around my TV) in the same room.

I am wondering whether I should just use cables (would be awkward and messy) or whether I can use any of these devices which I have and whether they would be any good?

Time Capsule (with an Airport Express?)
PS3
Beyonwiz (high def PVR which seems to have networking capabilities)

Hope someone can help - I am quite lost as to what to do...

Thanks

Mel

if you have an existing wireless network, you can use an airport express without getting the time capsule.
You can also have your iMac create a wireless network, and then have the express join that.

there is also airfoil. it lets you send audio from your mac (or windows) to other devices.
You can send to Mac, windows, Linux, airport express, :apple:TV, or iPhone/iTouch. can also transmit to multiple devices at the same time.
