So now that the new iPhones came with a NON USB charger, how the **** do we connect it to our computer?!?!

I need to a buy a damn dongle now?

I’m sure you’ll figure it out. It’s no harder than the child’s toy where you just have to figure out which shape fits in the hole.

Why would you need to connect it anyway? You can do most things without the wired connection from phone to computer. In any case if you feel you must connect it maybe you should stick to phones that are pre USB C

You will have to buy a dongle as almost everyone will have or have to buy in the future. Buying equipment because of ports rather than capability is ridiculous but we all will have to
Why connect - backup to a Mac backs up more than an iCloud backup

you can back up without connecting? and no, im not talking about the icloud.

The iPhone 11 Pro comes with a USB cable, I have no idea why you are complaining that it doesn’t.
If your MacBook Pro doesn’t have the correct USB C port for this cable maybe take a trip to the nearest dollar store, pound shop, gas station or supermarket and pick up an older USB A to lightning cable.
No dongle needed!

Exactly. Mods this thread can be locked.

It doesn't come with a USB cable...it has the USB C end to it...what are you saying? lol.

Exactly. Can’t charge and listen to music anymore

That plug is likely becoming the dominant format for tons of electronics including Macs. And it’s USB, just a different form factor. If you want to connect to older USB plugs get the old cable out if a drawer or get one from a shop.

It's funny how people a few years ago complained because iPhones included lightning to USB A cables so you couldn’t use fast chargers (unless you bought a new cable) and you always needed dongles to connect it to MacBooks with USB C ports, and now that Apple finally give us that, you want a cable with USB A

It’s 2020, all flagship phones now include USB C to USB C cables

As I already mentioned, that cable with the USB C connector IS a USB cable.
If you have owned previous iPhones, then I’m sure in a drawer somewhere you have the correct cable for your older MacBook Pro USB port, if not then take a walk to the nearest shop and pick one up. I could walk less than 5 minutes away from my house and find at least 6 places to grab one for under £5.
