Connecting iPhone 3G to Sat Nav - Bluetooth help!!!!

Hey!
I have a sat nav, and would like to use the hands free function of it. I used to be able to connect my iPhone to it, but it seems now to just not work, as the sat nav cannot find the iPhone!
Any suggestions??

stop wasting your time trying to get it to work. Apple has made it so only headsets work (mono only) and only for phone operations (no audio)
