Hi Guys,

Just wondering if any Mac experts could help.

I have a Macbook Pro and a 24 inch external monitor which i can connect with a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI 1080p Cable. The question is can i have this set up so that Photoshop opens on the monitor and the Macbook stays on with the dock etc there?

When i connect them at the moment all that shows on the monitor is the mac wallpaper? Not sure if theres something I'm missing.

Thanks in advance.

The wallapaper you see is an extension of your desktop, you should be able to drag any windows you want over there, that should include photoshop?

In display settings you can change how the second monitor is configured, which side its at, if it is a mirror of your current desktop etc

I tried dragging the Photoshop icon across but a little cloud type symbol appears and it goes back to the MBP screen?

Anything ive tried dragging across doesn't seem to stick if you get me?
