I bought Mac Book Pro in 2008. I want to connect it to my Panasonic High Definition Plasma TV Model TH-42PX80U. Basically, I am interested in watching streaming movie from Netflix on my TV via Mac Book Pro. What cable I need to buy to get both picture and quality sound.

You have to be more specific about what model you have. The early 2008 MBPs had DVI outputs and the late ones had Mini DisplayPort outputs.

Either way, get a DVI or MiniDisplayPort to HDMI cable (monoprice or cables to go ... don't go eg Best Buy unless you're in a hurry). Use a 3.5mm audio cable for audio - depending on the TV audio inputs you may need a 3.5mm to RCA audio cable.

    And why the thumbs down?
