    Would this work?
It says here that it will.
Would I just need to buy this and then I could hook up the PS3 and it would all work smoothly and in HD?
If anyones tried this and could give me a confirmed answer then that would be great.
    Thanks a lot!

No. You will need a powered converter that changes the HDMI signal to DP. A passive converter will not work.

Could you possibly get me a link?
I've heard of the Belkin HDMI to Mini Display Port Adaptor but I can't find it anywhere on the internet. Are there any other alternatives?

check the thread about hooking up the xbox 360. Its the same thing we are trying to accomplish. basically, you need something that upscales and converts. Currently the only hardware solutions are produced by the company atlona. you need the dp200 and the hd560. cost is close to 400 dollars just for this setup.

Ive already got them ordered and will be ordering my imac shortly... i will post results when i get everything together.
