I have the following:

- 2008 Toyota Camry Hybrid with Bluetooth phone support and an AUX jack
- iPhone 12 Mini

Now the car is not new, but it has a rather nice phone interface. It’s okay at best but it offers nice convenience features over using a phone as is.

Music is probably arse and I’m not even sure if it’s supported. But it does have an AUX port.

My plan:

- Get a Bluetooth to jack transmitter (if such a thing exists)
- Connect phone to car Bluetooth and transmitter, playing music through transmitter.

Is this even remotely possible? I would love to avoid cables.

New radio would be needed for BT.

I don’t understand your comment.

It has Bluetooth hands free. I don’t want to play music through that. I want to use a Bluetooth to aux converter and connect to that simultaneously.

Because it’s a 2008 car and it only supports hands free through Bluetooth?

That was 14 years ago, I’m not going to play music through it, that’s just ridiculous.
