I have a NETGEAR home networking router thingy in my house, and my laptop is connected to that fine.
My ipod can find this network, but when i enter the wireless network key, it says its 'unable to join the network 'netgear'. i have absolutely no idea in the world how to fix this or what to do. i really need some1 to talk me through it. i havent an ip address or anything..... i dont think.

please help!!
 
urm.. i rli dont know how to distinguish between wep or whatever other option u gave me :( if u tel me how to find out i will.. im not computer illiterate i just dont understand this one bit!!

It would help if we knew which security system this is... WEP or WPA, then we can help to figure it out.

AAAAHHHH i've searched thru a load of properties and my network authentication is 'WPA-PSK' so i guess that means i'm a wpa thingy?? xx:confused:
