iOS Connecting to remote MySQL database

Hello,

I need to connect to a MySQL database which is located at one of my remote server.Is it possible to make an iPhone app in objective C which can connect to database and execute queries over there from my iPhone without using php scripts over my server to interact.

I read about MCPKit ...Does it work for iphone as well?

Please suggest me the way to implement this.

Why not just download one of the many SSH apps and run mysql commands that way?
