I have a US account that I can access the US iTunes store fine via my iMac, however when I try to use this account when connecting via iPad (e.g. App Store via iPad), it says that "my country is not supported".
I have a U.S. Itunes account on my pad that I use from japan and it works fine. I just logged into my itunes account on my ipad and it went straight to the U.S. Store. It shoild just work for you. The device doesnt care it is the account that matters
I agree with the poster above. Go to the iTunes section in Settings on the iPad and switch to the American account. When you go back and click on the App Store icon it should load the American store. Mine does anyway.
Go into your iTunes on the iPad and scroll to the bottom. Sign out and then sign in with your us account. Close and then open the app store. I would be surprised if that didn't work.
I also have an US account for iTunes (beneath my German account) and was not able to reach the iTunes store with my German account. It also happened as I changed and tried to use my US account.
The trick:
- First lock out from your iTunes account.
- Then change the country to United States (US).
- Then lock in again with your iTunes US account.
- You be able to open the iTunes US store and iBook store!
- You can also "buy" free US apps and free books.
- Buy a US REEDEEM CARD over your local eBay.
- Put in the REEDEM code/number of that card in US iTunes redeem sector.
- Then you can download and purchase directly for apps (Keynote, Numbers, Pages or any other).
NOW I am a very, very satisfied GERMAN iPad user 🙂
Thanks guys. I had to log out and relog back in and can now access the App store from my iPad. Really stupid since I was already logged in with my US account but at least it works.
