I'm setting up my MBA (finally) and because our wireless router is on the fritz, I need to set up using a cable modem.
Problem: the setup assistant is asking me for all kinds of info (that in windows OS is just plug & play and I don't need to know). the assistant is asking me to supply an IP address, ID TCP/IP connection type, etc. this is a drag.
why can't I just plug in the cable modem and be done? and how do I get this information?
advice?
