Connection to ec2-34-223-130-205.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com

I have a isue in which Firefox connects to ec2-34-223-130-205.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com with no connections established. So no browser or tabs and no add-ons active and the Mac OS shows an established connection using the commnad lsof -i

us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com

ec2-34-223-130-205.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com

104.16.249.249

Can anyone identify what these networks might be doing?
 
maybe try downloading little snitch and see where the connection is hanging up

Yes. 104.16.249.249 is part of cloudflare but remember I am not connecting to any web site cloudflare will only come into play if I imitate a connection. Also I have no add-ons active on firefox.
 
As a suggestion maybe you want to run something like MalwareBytes to see if your computer has any malware installed.
 
I downloaded the file from Mozillas " " and I found that the SHA256 hash check is different when downloaded from another browser for the same version 80. The sha256 are as follows


d6efd1c0d99e9bb75d12000e2ee7f7aee52159e5fb060ea1f0018681c14ae61b Firefox 80.0.dmg

The second sha256 from another browser from the exact same URL.

c5234f44f7b4102debdbd0a5af56e9414d0f6d99a38eb1cbd99b43f186b28a85 Firefox 80.0(2).dmg

virus total check both and no malware identified but they are both the same version 80 for Mac OS.
