Using G4 Mac running OS9.1 and connecting to Windows 2000 server. When starting up the Mac takes 4 mins to make connection via TCP/IP using TCP standard port. Once connected speed access to server in good.
The server was recently updated and this is when this problem started. What can the Tech Guys (PC based) do to the server connection to fix this problem. There are about 5 Macs connected to the server and all have this problem.

why dont you all just manually set your IP settings instead of grabbing them from the DHCP server?

in my experience, win2k has been notoriously bad at giving TCP/IP settings to any non windows clients. I always just gave up and used manual settings, because they were so much easier to deal with.
